This morning, after your breakfast, Our driver-guide will collect you from your hotel and take you down to The Giraffe Centre. This is a core breeding centre for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. You will get to learn more about their adaptations, conservation efforts and you have a chance to hand-feed them on a raised platform.
From there you will be head down to The Daphne Sheldrick Elephant orphanage just in time for the 11 am visit. The visit is scheduled for strictly for 1 hour (11 am-12 noon).
You will have a chance to interact with the baby elephants. Most of the baby elephants are there because their mothers have been killed by hunters, due to the rise in ivory poaching. Other babies have either been lost in the wild or have been separated from their mothers for unknown reasons. The African elephant calves are hand-reared here with the intention of gradually reintroducing them into the wild once they are strong enough to survive.
From here, you will be transferred to carnivore restaurant for lunch. Here you can sample a variety of barbecued meats and other types of game meats which will be brought to your table on spears. Vegetarian dishes are also available. You shall later be transferred to Wilson airport for your afternoon flight to Amboseli.
Arrive Amboseli airstrip this afternoon ready for your afternoon game drive enroute to your camp. Amboseli is well known for its huge population of elephant and spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro which rises to over 19,000 feet above Amboseli’s acacia dotted grasslands. Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, Check-in to the luxurious camp which is found within its own conservancy.
On the last day, you will be transferred to the airstrip where you will take your morning flight to Nairobi.
